Education at the Farm

Canberra City Farm normally runs a variety of face-to face experiential workshops throughout the year, but these are being postponed because of the CoVid-19 public health requirements. We are looking at running some of these as Zoom sessions, so you can get the information and try out new things at home.

Our original workshop schedule is listed here.  Please let us know if you would be interested in participating on an interactive, virtual  Zoom conference on the subject and we will see what we can organise (click on the workshop for more information):

5 April 2020 – Growing Food and Gardening in Time of Drought – FULL

5 April 2020 – More about Garden Pests and Diseases – FULL

26 April 2020More about Garden Pests and Diseases  (repeat)

3 May 2020 – More about the soil in your allotment / backyard garden

7 June 2020 – Preparing for your Spring / Summer Vegetables

Some other educational opportunities normally provided by Canberra City Farm include:

• Farm Tours — To organise a tour after the end of the current Health State of Emergency, please contact us.

• Working Bees — Working Bees are currently suspended, but maintenance activities are being done by individual members over the week.  If you wish to assist, email Fiona on fionatitowheatland@gmail.com. Once the State of Emergency is over, we will let you when the next working bee is happening, at what’s on.
