This year, the Low Energy Super Shed (LESS) is once again a part of Sustainable House Day. Retrofitted as a demonstration building, the LESS was converted from a metal shed to meet the passive-house standard for a retrofitted building. We wanted to show that any existing structure can be transformed to a thermally comfortable, clean, sunny, healthy building requiring virtually no heating or cooling, without needing to build a new house. Come along to gain insight into retrofitting and enjoy the sensory experience of inhabiting a passive house space.
The LESS was a project by Woden SEE Change with support from the A.C.T. Government, private businesses, community groups, and private donors.
