  • four beautiful old pear trees, in one of our five orchards (we have over 100 fruit trees)
  • a retort for making biochar
  • a super shed demonstrating PassivHaus design and sustainable technology

OTHER WAYS TO VISIT

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our events, workshops or working bees.

Come to an Event

Keep up-to-date with all of our events! Whether it’s a workshop, a community celebration, or a compost day, the events page is the way to find out what’s coming up. Sign up to the newsletter or check the EVENTS  or REGULAR EVENTS page.

Join a Working Bee

Every Sunday, Monday and Thursday, 10 am to 12 noon. Everyone is welcome to join us, no experience necessary, and most gardening tools are provided (BYO hat and gardening gloves). The work of the Farm is organised around five teams: the community garden (four beds working on crop rotation), fruit tree management, propagation, compost, and maintenance.

Jobs vary throughout the seasons, but we promise if you turn up we’ll find a job to suit. It’s a great way to meet people and learn a few gardening tips from some of our more experienced green thumbs.

Monthly Mingle

Usually held on the third Sunday of the month, this is a casual, social gathering for members and friends. We share homemade pizzas fresh from our mud oven (weather permitting) and then listen to a guest speaker. A great way to get inspired, meet new people and visit the Farm! Check the EVENTS  page for the next Monthly Mingle.

Open Days

In autumn and spring there are open days offering seedling and produce sales, Farm tours, workshops, and great food (especially if we fire up the pizza oven). A fun day for the community to visit, learn and stock up on Farm produce.

Plant Clinic

We offer help with identifying pests and diseases and advice on how to deal with them using organic methods. Please bring any specimens in a sealed plastic bag. Part of the Sunday working bee, 10 am to 12 noon.

GET INVOLVED

There are so many ways to be part of the Farm! Join a working bee or our Allotment Education Program, take a tour, make compost, make preserves, help make the place hum. Join us as we regenerate the soil, ourselves and the planet – new volunteers and members are especially welcome.
