Events at Canberra City Farm
There are so many ways to be involved in Canberra City Farm. We host a wide range of regular and one-off events throughout the year, from educational workshops and expert talks to hands-on Farm activities and seasonal celebrations. We have regular working bees, monthly mingles, and plant clinics.

Winter Solstice Celebration

With optional Farm tour at 11.30 am

Please join us at the Farm for the 2026 winter solstice party! We’re celebrating the great turning by cooking up our pumpkins and quinces, drinking mulled wine, toasting marshmallows, and lighting the pizza oven. Enjoy the conviviality around the fire or test your strategy, skill, and luck with Finska, the outdoor log-tossing game.
Menu (all vegetarian with vegan and gluten-free options)
Pumpkin soup with parsley and flatbread from the woodfired oven or faina (gf)
Lentil tabouli salad
Quince tart or poached quinces (gf) with cream
Marshmallows
Mulled wine
Kombucha
This year’s bumper fruit harvest means we have loads of preserves on sale—check out our apricot in cardamom syrup, nectarine chutney, red currant jelly and more. See our online shop at the Open Food Network for a full list, also available at our winter solstice stall.
To assist our hard working volunteers, all attendees are asked to please bring their own plate, cutlery and mug.
Spaces are limited (strictly 50 people) and registration is essential. Children are welcome. For catering purposes, please register no later than 14 June. You can register at our Humanitix site here. Tickets are all-inclusive.
