All financial members are advised that the Annual General Meeting of Canberra City Farm Inc will be held at 2 Dairy Road, Fyshwick at 12:00 noon on 17 September 2023. It will be followed by the Monthly Mingle.
Our annual general meeting is an important component of the good management of our farm. The committee for 2023-2024 will be decided at the meeting. The committee is responsible for the overall management of the farm. You are encouraged to attend the meeting, and help influence the operation of the farm during the coming year.
The agenda for the meeting is:
- confirm the minutes of the last annual general meeting.
- present the committee report on the activities of the association during the last financial year;
- elect members of the committee, including office-bearers.
- receive and consider the statement of accounts and the reports required to be submitted to members under the ACT Associations Incorporation Act 1991, section 73 (1).
The Committee consists of five office bearers and seven ordinary committee members. The Canberra City Farm constitution stipulates the qualifications required to be elected as a committee member. A copy of the constitution can be found here.
